Caribbean Stud Poker History

Caribbean Stud Poker first appeared during the late 1980's. In fact, there is a continuous debate regarding the origination of the game. A few people say that, the game first emerged on the cruise ships of Caribbean islands, where voyagers used to play this game to pass their time. On the other hand, a few other groups say that the game first was emerged in a casino known as "The King International", which is at present being called as the "Excelsior Casino" situated at Aruba islands. The game was played without best percentages and advantages, when it was launched in the American casinos. During the mid 1800's, the game was altered to 52-card deck and documented in various journals and diaries of pilgrims and explorers.

The game, in fact, is linked very closely with the development of the western United States and featured interminably in numerous books and films. Poker was then reintroduced into Europe, when U.S. ambassador, Robert C. Schenck, suggested it to the colleagues of Queen Victoria's court during the early 1870s. After a short period, Schenck wrote a definitive manuscript on the rules of Caribbean Stud Poker.

Caribbean Stud Poker was brought in American casinos in the late 1980's, and has started gaining popularity ever since. Today, it is the most popular casino games played in almost all poker casinos. Another reason for its ever-increasing popularity is the special progressive jackpot feature, when Caribbean Stud Poker reached the gaming world of Las Vegas.
